What ChartStats is

ChartStats is a music chart intelligence tool that tracks Apple Music Top Songs by country. It displays publicly available chart data, historical chart positions, and trend analysis. We do not require account registration to use the site.

Information we collect

We collect minimal data necessary to operate and improve the service:

• Search queries — search terms you enter are logged internally to help us improve search quality and understand what music people are looking for.
• Page views — the pages and chart pages you visit are tracked anonymously via Google Analytics 4 and our lightweight internal event system.
• Email address — if you voluntarily sign up for chart update emails, we store your email address. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us.

We do not collect names, account credentials, payment information, or any personally identifying information beyond what you choose to provide.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate site usage — which pages are visited, how visitors navigate the site, and broad geographic information. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish visits. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

We also use a lightweight first-party analytics system that stores anonymous events (search performed, page viewed) in our own database. This system does not use cookies and does not share data with third parties.

No cross-site tracking, advertising cookies, or third-party tracking pixels are present on this site.

Data sources and attribution

Chart data displayed on ChartStats is sourced from the Apple Music API. ChartStats is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.

Chart data is updated daily and reflects Apple Music Top Songs rankings at the time of ingestion. Historical data is stored in our own database.

Data retention

Chart and analytics data is retained indefinitely to support historical analysis. Email addresses are retained until you request deletion. Anonymous analytics events are not associated with any identifier.
